In this video we compared the sound quality difference between a cheap recording rig and an expensive pro quality recording rig. 

Each setup records the same performance. 

In the video, there is eq, compression and reverb used on the tracks so you are hearing the finished version. In this finished version, the difference between the 2 isn't very apparent, but if you download the raw tracks, which are unprocessed other than level matching, in a critical listening environment you can clearly hear a difference. 

However, it's the final sound that you will share with your friends and family and Spotify... etc, and I think this is the one that matters the most. 

The recording chain is 

Expensive setup- Telefunken TF11 Fet, into a Cranborne Audio EC2, into a Metric Halo ULN-8. 

Cheap Setup- iSK Vibrato, into a Behringer UMC 204.
